Dreams - Van Halen
Here's my first successful attempt at HDR. Got it from a photo I took for 365 that didn't make it.
I'm really starting to like this HDR thing. I might just spend a few more of the balance 163 days concentrating on it.
This photo is taken from the car sitting on Flinders Street and that golden building on the right is Flinders Street Station. More tomorrow.

179/365. 28 June 2010
Slightly gloomy day and man was it freezing, luckily I had the heater up in the car. Just watched 2 games overnight/morning and had my hour snooze before heading to work.
BTW the last couple of weeks, my World Cup schedule has been finish work at 5 on the dot. Get home and be asleep by 6.29pm. Alarm set for 9.29pm for the first game, which is when I have dinner. Watch the second game at 12am and straight back to bed and wake up again at 4.29pm to watch the third game. During halftime I get ready for work, shower etc. and am dressed in my work clothes when the game ends at 6.15am. Sleep in my work clothes for another hour or so till 7.30am, and then off to work. Be at work by 8.17am.
But now that the group stages are over, I get more sleep, till midnight in fact, which is also when I have my dinner. I swear I really get excited about this every 4 years and am very disciplined when it comes to World Cup time.
Anyway, for today's shot, here's bit of dashpod action. Took this while on my way to work. Was trying for a bit of HDR, but that was near impossible shooting moving cars from a moving car. More tomorrow.

It was like living in Cloud City. Woke up this morning to watch the game and found a thick fog had somehow appeared from nowhere.
Driving to work was no walk in the park either. Here's a shot from the legendary dashpod (basically a camera placed on the dash of my car). See you tomorrow.

Tonight's rain put a bit of a dampener on our attempt to capture Melbourne at night. I met up with an old friend and former classmate - James tonight. We were all ready to climb the various peaks of several rooftop bars to get shots of the city, but alas the weather did not permit. That and the fact that I wasn't really too keen on pushing the pain barrier by scaling anything more than a few floors meant that our shots were limited to only a few locations. See here for another shot.
This was actually taken along the legendary Flinders Street in Melbourne from the comfort and dryness of my car. It's funny, but I never realised how good a tripod, a dashboard makes. All I had to do was let it open out for about 4-5 seconds and let the passing cars and trams do the work. And yes that's the great Flinders Street Station on the right.
