More from the workshop. Here's Elizabeth striking a pose... very forward looking.

I eventually had Elizabeth as my model for the Milk Dress, and she was absolutely amazing. More tomorrow.

Not a particularly eventful shooting day, (shame how work gets in the way) so here's one from the archives. Here's Brooke again at the Joe McNally workshop. More tomorrow.

Strobist Info: One SB900 Speed light on 1/2 power just above and out of shot. It was feathered and bouncing off a Lastolite reflector.

One from the archives, mainly because all I shot today was machinery and plant equipment... nothing really spectacular.

Anyway I found this one shot a year ago at the Joe McNally workshop. This one has the beautiful Brooke looking a bit wild.. grrrr! More tomorrow.

Strobist info: One SB 900 on full, through a lasolite defuser about 4 feet away from Brooke camera left.

Didn't shoot much today... been a bit slack, and still thinking of what to do for my 1000th.

Here's one from a while back... photoshopped, but I think Brooke still looks cool. More tomorrow.

Strobist info: One SB 900 on full with a Lasolite as a defuser, both handheld from about 6 feet, camera left.

I think this is the last of the studio shots from the other day. Here's Brooke with that killer stare. More tomorrow.

A bit of a retro feel today. The dots are actually just an inverted bokeh shot of South Melbourne's street lights. And of course Brooke with her outstanding poses. More tomorrow.

More photoshop work today. Another composite shot from the studio combined with lights from the Greek quarter of Melbourne. More tomorrow.

A composite shot today. Took a shot of Brooke in the studio and took the background a few weeks ago at docklands. The flutter in the jacket and the tossing of the hair kind of just goes with the background. More tomorrow.

Something from the Joe McNally workshop. Just an exercise in playing with shadows. More tomorrow.

A bit of photoshop play today. Took what looks like a curtain of bokeh, but without any foreground shot. So who better to feature than Brooke. More tomorrow.

Strobist Info: One SB900 Speed light with a soft box on full power from about 8 feet away, camera right.

Going through my shots from a couple of months ago and just brushing up on my photoshop work and retouching. Found this one that worked quite well considering the lighting source. More tomorrow.

Strobist info: One SB 900 on full, bare, handheld pointing up at a mirror ball about 10-15 feet up and camera left. In fact, Brooke, the model is looking right at it. you can almost see the reflection off her eyes.

Slight mishap at home today, so no shots today. nothing like a damn leaking pipe coming through the ceiling to spoil a perfectly good Sunday.

Anyway, here's one more from the shoot last week... Tamika again with those killer core muscles. honestly, she held that pose for close to 20 minutes without flinching. More tomorrow.

Strobist info: Main - Elinchrom Ranger Q with 70cm Rotalux Deep OCTA on 3 above the model. Fill - SB900 Speed light on 1/8 power bounced off a couple of Lasolite reflectors.

Shot some more today, but really want to post this instead. might save what I shot today for later.

Here's Brooke again. This time in an all white studio playing with a single flash and reflector... She wasn't playing with the lighting, we were, she just had to look stunning. More tomorrow.

Strobist Info: One SB900 Speed light on 1/2 power just above and out of shot. It was feathered and bouncing off a Lastolite reflector. I was going for a clam shell effect.

At Joe McNally's Through The Lens Workshop today... what an absolute blast, and a major learning curve. Here's one of Brooke, one of our gorgeous models for the day. I'm sure I'll be posting a few more of these shots over the next few days. More tomorrow.

Strobist Info: Flare - Elinchrom Ranger Q with 70cm Rotalux Deep OCTA on 2 (The lowest power) about 3 feet behind the model camera left. Main - SB900 Speed light on 1/2 power with a Ezybox Hotshoe down low about 6 feet in front of Brooke.
