Year X 16 16-22/4/19

More from our travels. This time it's the Portuguese Settlement in Melacca, Malaysia. Apparently the Church across the red house has been around since the 1700's, and not far from here is a fort that dates back to the 1500's. It was really a spiritual (and gastronomic) experience  going to our ancestral roots. While a trip to Portugal, might be on the cards... to visit the motherland, so to speak. More soon.

X Week 06

Year X 06 4-11/2/19

Been a very eventful week. Had a late night almost every night of the week and in most cases, had my camera with me. I decided to do a black and white this week, because I haven't done one in quite a while, and this was a good chance to get the pristine white of the new Esplanade contrasting a black sky. This is from a couple of weeks ago... still playing catch up. From the city before Chinese New Year. And nothing says Chinese more than the colour red ... and the delicious hanging meat. Happy Year of the pig everyone. More to catch up on soon.

Was a bit of a toss up to post one of 2 photos for the week. Considering I'll be in another country in a couple of hours, I figured I'd just settle by doing a double exposure.

So here's Loki the out of control Husky hoping to grab my breakfast; and a street shot from last winter weekend in Melbourne. More next week.

Got a 50mm out for the night to shoot. It's a shade off my favourite, but still quite fine.

Taken from the car (passenger seat) on a cold night in May; this is St Kilda Road on the way to the city. More next week.

Finally back to street shooting. Really wished I brought my 50mm on this little walkabout (less intrusive, and at f1.4 heaps more bokeh). Still, couldn't resist the light falling on the columns, stairs and the people when I saw the scene. More next week.
