Happy New Year everyone. Managed to make it out of the house whilst preparing for the party to take a few shots (340+) of Owen playing in the garden. Like his Aunty in the background, he sure has some attitude.

So that brings me to an end of another 365. Will probably do another one in the new year... I'm having too much fun to stop.

Thanks has to go to the makers of my favourite Camera, the alpha 99, Sony; all the people that have been in my shots for the year, you may or may not know who you are, but thanks nevertheless. Of course Dustin Dias for his spark (great to see him back on Flickr, BTW). Guy Gowan for enlightening us with his processing knowledge and all the photographers out there who've been an inspiration. Here's to another year of 365.

The second last post of the year and the possibly last feature of Owen for the year. Actually today's shot was between this of Owen playing with the world's best Aunty (Nadia) or the reddest redhead I've ever seen. As beautiful as the redhead was, Mr Cutiepie Owen won out.

I might post the shot of the reddest redhead some time in the future. But for now on the second last night of the year, here's wishing one and all a happy new year. More tomorrow.

With the count and the days left in the year, it's obvious something has gone awry here. At some stage during the year, I must have added an extra day or something to that effect... nevertheless I'll try and correct it somehow in the next few days.

Meet the newest edition to the family this christmas. Young Owen was born 11 months and 28 days ago, so he's spending his first Christmas with us. I doubt he'll ever remember this, but he's brought all of us a lot of joy, and to think, he almost couldn't make it down to Perth this time.

So it's a merry Christmas from Owen to everyone! More tomorrow.

The ceremonial washing of the lawn chairs before Christmas... yes it's a thing. I take out 2 dozen or so lawn chairs from the shed every year, give them a good spray down and wipe, in preparation for the christmas party.

Here they are glistening in the morning sun after being washed down, only complaint is HDR really brings out the years worth if dust... damn you HDR for exposing my cleaning inefficiencies. More tomorrow.

Got up to this amazing site this morning. And the best part is realising that it's going to be the first Christmas in about 5 or 6 years that is not in the 40 degrees. And also, in a very long time, we're going to have a very packed house for Christmas, which I am very grateful for.

Were down to single digits for the number of days left in the year. Flew into Perth this afternoon, and apart from the food, we've been slightly less busier with the preparations for Xmas and just eating in general.

It seems that there will be a little jam session on Xmas day, so we've been pulling out the old drum kit and cleaning it running it through it's paces. Here's a shot of my old snare circa late 1960s. Still one of my favourite snare drums of all time. More tomorrow.

13 days to go to the end of another year. While 13 may be an unlucky number to some, I am not superstitious. Besides, today has been rather momentous; The coach of my favourite football club finally gets the sack (something I've been calling for since his appointment 18 months ago), Australia wins back the Ashes, and if all goes well, I should be a multi-millionaire, once i check my lottery ticket. Fingers crossed, touch wood, throw salt over the shoulder...

Spent most of the morning trying to get tickets to Rolling Stones, but to no avail. Was pretty pissed off at the end, but I'm sure something will come up, at least i'm hoping something will.

Anyway, here's one from another concert. Though you don't get to see the act, i thought the silhouette and Bokeh was just too cool. More tomorrow.
