Another at the Guy Gowan workshop. Spent most of the night trying to put into action some the stuff we learned today. Was going to try and apply some new masking techniques I learnt today, but I guess I'll have to defer that to another day. In the meantime, here's KungFu Kelly. More tomorrow.

Spent all day today on course with Guy Gowan. He appears in almost all my tags daily, and he singlehandedly changed my mind and thinking about photoshop about 4 years ago.
I'm a big fan, and although many of my images may cause him much grief (he is a fan of the pure picture), I still would not be able to handle photoshop the way I do now without him. So thanks guy and more tomorrow.

The other object of my distraction for the past few weeks. Have been remodelling 3 guitars for the past few months and it's all coming together. This is my Les Paul Special that's been given all black hardware with a splash of gold. It plays like a dream and sounds like crunch monster... with a scream that could cut glass. More tomorrow.
Strobist info: Sony HVL F60M placed at 3 locations. 1 firing directly above and firing into the ceiling about 4 feet up. 1 firing onto a reflector facing the guitar at 6 of clock and another at 12 o'clock.

Something else to keep me up late into the night. Now that the World Cup is done, any hope of getting back to more reasonable sleeping patterns have just gone out the window.
Here's the new Chrome guitar that I'm putting together. It's almost there, just need to put the Floyd Rose tremolo on and tune it up. This is going to be fun. More tomorrow.

Last day of the World Cup. One more game till the end. It almost seems like a month of Christmases for me, and the feeling of dread as it ends is just as multiplying. Ah well life goes on, and then there's always the next World Cup in Russia.
Anyway, shot this in South Melbourne near one of favourite new places to eat. I'll do a post on it soon. This is just one of the many lane ways in a city filled with interesting lane ways. More tomorrow.
