This puppy, Kodi and his sister, Fraie, were my breakfast company this morning. Lucky they had their walk and treats before joining us... would have been a bit of a nightmare if they were restless and hungry. That's not to say they were little angels either, just less devilish! More next week.
Was at the GABS festival today and apart from the beer, there was the entertainment, which some how everyone found this to be the most entertaining. Ah beer drinkers... such simple people... salt of the earth. More next week.
Been working on several double exposures for a few weeks. This is one of them. Did a few test portrait shots with different lighting options and used some of those to work in the double exposure. More next week.
Was at the State Library earlier in the week. It's an amazing building on the outside and the inside is equally impressive.
Was curious about the relevance of the library in this digital age. Interestingly, there were desks full of students enjoying the free wifi; there were lots of exhibits surrounding the main hall of the library that were well attended; and there were quite a few book shelves that well patronised. Glad to see I wasn't the only curious one that day. More next week.
Quite a few to choose from this week. Had a couple of moon shots, did a few double exposures and then... we went for lunch in the city and stumbled onto the graffiti at AC/DC Lane. Took this while a friendly passerby walks in front of the shot. Good timing. More next week.
Off to the South Melbourne Markets with a 50mm f1.4. Stopped down to f1.4 quite a bit and really loved the results... it was like bokeh heaven. Anyway, this was my favourite shot of the day, I call it "comparing". More next week.
Lots to choose from for the week. What with the Grand Prix on. So this week's was always going to be about those fast cars. Here's Daniel Richiardo in his Red Bull zooming past during qualification. More next week.
Bledsoe, Thompson and Harden in one shot... at least facsimilies of at least. Had my 50mm with me and saw these 3 "action figures"... couldn't resist stopping down to f1.4 and bokehing the crap out of them. More next week.
Got back from the Australian Airshow, and was too tired to post my favourite shot from the day/week. Fast Forward 20 hours, and I've just spent hours pouring over a thousand plus shots to find the one that I liked best. So here it is... an F16 in the process of final check before taking off. Just looks menacing... More next week.
Another week of shooting and this is from last weekend's White Night festivities. This is from the all night dance party called Swing City. These people danced from dusk till dawn... Wow. More next week.
Here we go again. Im endeavouring to do all 52 weeks and already I'm 2 weeks behind. Nevertheless, I'm going to keep plugging at it and catch up when I have to. So expect more than a post a week, and week(s) without a post... but I'll get all 52 weeks in... yes I will!
Here's coming from the air. Somewhere between Perth and Melbourne, more likely somewhere over country Victoria. More next week.
Needed a day to recover from a New Year's Eve Party to post this.
This last post for Year 7 is of my Dad's band, Take 3, at said new year's eve party. I was roadie, Photographer and guitarist for the night, it was 6 long sets; really tiring, but a whole lot of fun.
So that's the end again of another year in photography. I'd like to thank everyone that has been, willingly or not, part of my various shooting escapades. And I'd really like to thank everyone that was come by and visited the various sites on Flickr, the Blog, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. I think I managed about 40+ weeks this time, a poor showing, considering it's been a weekly and not a daily occurrence. I'll endeavour to do better.
So here's to the next year. Happy new year all, I'll have more in a week's time.
