Doing this during the Japan v Paraguay game that' gone into extra time. As I'm writing this, it's just gone into penalties... (break for about 8 minutes). Poor Japan, they lost 5-4 on penalties. I hate the way games of this magnitude are decided.

Anyway, today's shot is of my camera in action. I set it up in front of the mirror, whacked on my flash on the camera and stuck the Lumiquest SBIII bouncing off the ceiling.

I like it that we get to see the shutter open as the shot was taken... the moment it clicks.

See you tomorrow.

Slightly gloomy day and man was it freezing, luckily I had the heater up in the car. Just watched 2 games overnight/morning and had my hour snooze before heading to work.

BTW the last couple of weeks, my World Cup schedule has been finish work at 5 on the dot. Get home and be asleep by 6.29pm. Alarm set for 9.29pm for the first game, which is when I have dinner. Watch the second game at 12am and straight back to bed and wake up again at 4.29pm to watch the third game. During halftime I get ready for work, shower etc. and am dressed in my work clothes when the game ends at 6.15am. Sleep in my work clothes for another hour or so till 7.30am, and then off to work. Be at work by 8.17am.

But now that the group stages are over, I get more sleep, till midnight in fact, which is also when I have my dinner. I swear I really get excited about this every 4 years and am very disciplined when it comes to World Cup time.

Anyway, for today's shot, here's bit of dashpod action. Took this while on my way to work. Was trying for a bit of HDR, but that was near impossible shooting moving cars from a moving car. More tomorrow.

Full moons are just crazy. As I sat waiting for the games to start, I stepped outside and saw it just sitting under a clear night sky. It took a few tries to get it right, and this turned out the best of the lot. See you tomorrow.

Finally a shot of my Lumiquest SBIII... this time over and over again. Here it is sitting over my Yongnuo Speedlight on my Ancient Topman tripod. I think you've been introduced to them all.

OK game starting. More tomorrow.

Didn't really have a shot prepared today, other than moonlit clouds in the night sky. Long exposure kind of took care of the rest.

Sad day. Australia's out of the World Cup. Was going to do a tribute shot, but didn't get around to setting up anything meaningful. Anyway I was out on the (here it comes) balcony, and decided to do playing around with my beercan lens. In particular, the zoom. There were a few really cool outcomes, and of course some really nasty ones as well. Anyway, here's an example of one that didn't suck. Besos all.

Still playing with my Lumiquest AB III. Took a shot of my bannister today with the Lumiquest SB III as my ONLY source of light. After a tries at arty depth of field shots of the rails and quirky angles of the posts, I settled on this nice, symmetrical shot.
