Was a bit of a toss up to post one of 2 photos for the week. Considering I'll be in another country in a couple of hours, I figured I'd just settle by doing a double exposure.

So here's Loki the out of control Husky hoping to grab my breakfast; and a street shot from last winter weekend in Melbourne. More next week.

Took a few of these the other morning in the city. Heard her sing from across the road, and we were mesmerised.

9Week 33 12-19/8/18

Took this slightly out of the week deadline, but I did have a few shots within the week that I wanted to post.

So here's the new toy. It's a Ukulele Bass. Beautiful Mahogany body, bone nut and bridge, built-in pre-amp and tuner and rubber... Yes! Rubber strings!

I hadn't picked up a bass in years and was initially looking around for an electronic drum set, which I hadn't played with in years as well. Anyway, came across the Uke bass online, read some reviews, tried it out at the store, and bought one. It's heaps of fun and completely playable in most music genres. In fact with the rubber strings it's sounds more acoustic bass than what you'd think a small ukulele body could produce. So it's time to get back to playing bass. More soon.

Haven't done a pano in a while, so I thought this one of the intersection of Russell and Little Burke St. would be a nice change. More soon.

Can't believe it's already August. Just getting my shots uploaded to prepare for a month's time when I'm off to the Singapore Grand Prix, Look out for heaps more then.

I'll have a faster camera with a kick ass sensor... and my trust worthy 70-200.

Anyway, this is from the weekend... walking through one of the dozens of buildings (mainly churches). More soon.

Took this with my new Samyung 14mm f2.8 lens. It's all manual and it's really wide! and you can see the amount of distortion there is in the lens. Still this is going to be a really fun lens to use come Melbourne Open House Weekend. More soon.
