Week 21 - 27 May - 3 June 2015

Heaps of portrait shot and a really cool double exposure shot as well this week. But ended up picking this high key one as my favourite. The really cool double exposure was a bit creepy though.

Anyway, here's one that I overexposed hoping to capture those blue eyes... and it worked. More next week.

Strobist info: 2x FVL 60AM onfull per through a Lumodi beauty dish and a little 8 inch softbox in a clamshell shape slightly towards camera right.

Been thinking about doing a levitation shot for a while. Although this weeks offering isn't exactly what I had in mind, I was playing with stuff from the archives and put this together. God light, hot model and photoshop... what's not to like. More next week.

Week 19 - 13-20 May 2015

More concert stuff. this time a little montage of Alice Cooper with his band, featuring the excellent Nita Strauss.

What a great concert night. Alice Cooper opened for Motley Crue on their All Bad Things Must Come To An End Tour. But the master of shock rock really took the cake in theatrics... not to say that Motley Crue were any slouches, they had dancing girls and the "Cruecify" Tommy Lee's drum rollercoaster. You'll find some shots of them on a Flickr Album. More next week.

Week 18 - 6-13 May 2015

Here's this week's offering. Shot this at the Miss Universe Australia Victorian Finals. Another one off the bucket list... ish. Just wished I had better lighting, not that the stage lighting was bad, just wanted more control. The kind of control that a couple of strobes would have helped. Anyway, I'm hoping I'll get a fewer bites at a runway shot soon. More next week.

Week 17 - 29 April - 6 May 2015

Not quite a bucket list shot, but still had fun shooting this. Plastic shoes with a just a touch of lens flare from the strobes.

Been a bit slack with my weekly shots, missed last week but no point putting up something I didn't really like. More next week.

Strobist info: 2 x Sony HVL F60M on Manual on full power. One with a snoot for the flare, and another with a diffuser about 4 feet away at 45 degrees for fill.

Week 15 - 15-22 April

Another of one of my bucket list of shots is High Key Black and White portraits. So thanks to Fi, the ever ready model, here's my favourite shot of the session. I'll post more from the session soon. More next week.

Kept this for a while, but I really like the very tender moments of the first dance. Thanks Greg and Lauren for inviting me to the wedding. Really had a great time, and yes you made it to "A shot a week". More next week.
