9Week 43

9Week 43 21-28/10/18

This is last week's post from the Taylor Swift concert in Melbourne. When the tickets came out on sale earlier last year, I was too slow in getting ground level seats. I ended up getting really cheap ones, almost in the nose-bleed section. Still, it turned out to be a really good concert. More soon.

Week8 07

Week8 07, a photo by DarrenNunis on Flickr.
Week8 07 11-17 February

Lots of options for this week's post, but I figured it had to be this one of the original members of Guns n Roses- Duff, All and Slash. What a concert, what a night. More next week.

Week8 05

Week8 05 28 January - 4 February

Back on track with the posting. Here's one from a few days ago. It's a compilation from the Springsteen concert at AAMI Park in Melbourne.

These were taken with my trusty point and shoot Canon in one hand, a walking stick in the other and standing for 7 hours... well worth the effort. More next week.

Week 39

Week 39 6-13 October

Finally caught up and here's one from this week. This time with my little point and shoot Canon at the Australia v Japan World Cup Qualifying game. The score was 1-1, and here's the equalising goal, just as it leaves the penalty spot. More next week.

Week 19

Week 19 - 12-19 May

This week's offering was always going to be about the concert on Monday. "Scream for me Melbourne!"... it's Iron Maiden!

Although we were in the nose bleed section, I did manage to capture a few shots of the geezers in action! Sadly though, no Aces High! More next week and more from the concert in an album soon.

Week 45

Week 45 - 18-25 November 2015

Still buzzing from the Def Leppard concert, and it's been close to 3 hours since. Anyway, the shot for the week was always going to be of this concert, even though I did a photowalk during the day and there was a couple of visits to the Night Noodle Markets. More next week... Rock It Baby!

Week 19

Week 19 - 13-20 May 2015

More concert stuff. this time a little montage of Alice Cooper with his band, featuring the excellent Nita Strauss.

What a great concert night. Alice Cooper opened for Motley Crue on their All Bad Things Must Come To An End Tour. But the master of shock rock really took the cake in theatrics... not to say that Motley Crue were any slouches, they had dancing girls and the "Cruecify" Tommy Lee's drum rollercoaster. You'll find some shots of them on a Flickr Album. More next week.

Week 09

Week 09 - 26 February - 4 March

Well one of my bucket list shots is to do a concert shoot. And not just any concert, but a big arena/stadium venue kind of concert... sadly, most venues stop you from even using a phone to take a photo.

Why? I don't know. I mean it's not like anyone's going to make any money from the images; and even if you shoot a video and post it on youtube, other than further promoting the artiste, there isn't much benefit to the person who shot the video. And I don't think that I'm alone in thinking like this.

Anyway, this weeks shot is of the Foo Fighters, namely Dave. Got a new little canon point and shoot with an 18x zoom. I like it. Still would much rather be standing with my 80-200mm rather than sneaking my little Canon point and shoot. More next week.

Out for my sister's birthday today, was going to post something from the dinner, but realised I'd missed one from the concert.

Bruce and Stevie making faces and making the crowd go wild.

(sidebar) Happy birthday Yvette and I really hope you like your present. More tomorrow.

Best concert ever! Went to Bruce Springsteen and the E Street band tonight. He had Eddie Vedder as a guest and Tom Morello as his 3rd guitar slinger!

Most importantly, he treated us to a very rare performance of every song from the Born In The USA album.. every song. How rare is that? And how lucky were we. More of the Boss tomorrow; I've spent almost 9 hours on my feet today and they are screaming in pain.

I did say I was going to post baby shots this whole week, but there was a concert tonight that I couldn't miss shooting.

Ladies and gentlemen, misters Tyler and Perry in glorious balck and white. I'll post more of the concert, considering we were standing right in front, and maybe some of young owen as well. More tomorrow.

The only thing better than a Bruce Springsteen concert is 2 Bruce Springsteen concerts. Went for the second one in 3 days, and I can say that the first one was no fluke!

There were new songs to the set list, including some rare gems, the amazing band and the charismatic Boss. Here he is crowd surfing... unbelievable. More tomorrow.

I took this shot yesterday at the concert. I've been trying to do this for most concerts i go to. It's a bit long, but then again The E Street Band isn't exactly a four piece. Anyway, here's The Boss with some of the E Street Band and the E Street Horns. More tomorrow.

Quite possibly the best concert I have ever been to. Almost 3 hours of Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band. Ears are still ringing, but it was such a moving experience. I'll post the rest of the photos from the night soon. More tomorrow.

Spent all day working, so here's a shot I really liked from the Motley Crue concert.

Had to wait for those horns to make their way through the crowd, and it eventually did. Actually that's not that hard considering it's a rock concert. More tomorrow.

Still processing all the shots from last night's concert(s). Here's Motley Crue, the smartest band in the world! Only these guys were smart enough to have dancing girls in a rock concert... why has it taken so long for a band to come up with that idea? Simply brilliant. More concert and dancing girls posts coming soon. More tomorrow.

And the month of concerts continues... Tonight was Thin Lizzy, Motley Crue and KISS. I didn't have time to process the rest, it's a school night and it's late but I promise to post the rest later. So in the meantime, here's KISS! More tomorrow.

Since I did a montage shot of Deep Purple 2 days ago, I thought it only fair Journey gets one too. So here it is Journey in concert 2 nights ago at Rod Laver. Outstanding performance and yes Neal Schon is also a guitar god! More tomorrow.
