Out for an awards night for work today. We didn't win the gold, so I on't think we were all in that great a mood... yes, yes, sportsmanship... etc. Anyway, I took this on my way back and decided to do some composite work before bed. More tomorrow.

Took this on a really beautiful day last week... in fact most days these days are really perfect weather-wise. Makes you want to spend all day out in the sunned shooting the breeze. More tomorrow.

Something from Southbank just across from the city. The bridge at the back is Queen's Bridge. Was trying to get that halo over her head, but I had to compromise between dirty clothes from lying on the ground or just winging it without looking at the viewfinder. Guess which option I chose. More tomorrow.

Up all night watching football, and caught this just after dawn. For a moment I thought it was going to be a water landing. Thankfully, it landed about 100 meters or so to the left on the grass. More tomorrow.

More shots from the night noodle market in the city. Yes it's meant to be at night, but the sunsets pretty late this time of the year. Yes it's meant to be a noodle market, but everyone's has to keep hydrated in this heat. More tomorrow.

At the Night Noodle Market tonight. Thankfully we got there early and managed to get one of those empty seats you see down there. Mind you, the set up was pretty cool... good food and lots of bars... if only there wasn't that much people there! More tomorrow.

Took this on the way back from work today. Couldn't resist that lovely smile that seemed to reflect the kind of day (weather wise) today. That, or she was just really happy... either way, it was a shot I had to take. More tomorrow.

The weather, cricket on TV and, truth be told, laziness all conspired to stop me from attending this weekend's Johnston Street Latin Festival. In it's place, here are some more shots of Barmaids from the Munich tent from yesterday's Taste Of Melbourne. More tomorrow.

Took this last week with the little QX10. The lights, I think are from this really cool thing called a LEDCube. Check it out if you can, it's pretty special. More tomorrow.

Late nights. Too many of them in a row, and it's screwing up my 365. Missed out on posting yesterday, but I did mange to take this tonight, while on my way back. This is from the seedier park of town. More tomorrow.

Still pretty much homebound for the weekend, would rather be outside shooting on a day like today, but it was not to be.
Here's one from the city a little earlier in the year. More tomorrow.

Here's another shot from Thursday's workshop. Got to say that I felt middle inadequate using the tiny QX10 next to the new Hasselblad H5... but what do you do if you don't have a spare 20+ grand. More tomorrow.

Was immobile today, so not much moving. Here's something from the night before. Took this at a workshop... couldn't resist sneaking a picture, even if it was with my little QX10.
On another note, I heard the news that the Rolling Stones had cancelled their concert at Hanging Rock. While I'm sad for those that will miss the show, I'm also really thankful I managed to catch the one on Wednesday. And I've set up an Album on Flickr of the shots I took on the night. Let's hope Mick gets well quick, so others won't miss out too. More tomorrow.

More Rolling Stones. I've also started an album on flickr with shots from the concert. I'll start filling it around the weekend. More tomorrow.

Ladies and gentlemen, The Rolling Stones. My sister pointed out to me that we've seen them at least once in every decade starting from the Voodoo Lounge Tour in '94. And they're still going strong, still putting out one heck of a show and still end songs like they we're jamming. Love it. This shot is with Mick Taylor on guitar and Darryl Jones on bass (the man who got my job). More tomorrow.

Out to a Melbourne Cup lunch today... sadly I didn't back a winner... even more sad that a horse died after the race and I had money on it. (Sad that it died, not the loss of money). Still lunch was good and exciting and fun and filling. More tomorrow... I'm going to see the Rolling Stones.

One of the good things about working in a creative/studio department is that occasionally, we get new toys! Introducing my new Mac Pro.
Spent most of the day setting this and 3 others up. Although repetitive, it was so much fun. Still haven't had the chance to take it for a spin, but if it's half as good as I think it is, boy-o-boy! More tomorrow.

Trick or Treat? It's funny, but Halloween was never a big thing when I was growing up. Actually it's not even something we ever "celebrated". It's only in recent years that it's become popular.
So here are a bunch of kids and their chaperones out to cause havoc. More tomorrow.
