Got a new lens.. A lovely 10-24mm F3.5-4.5. Really loving the wide lens. Took this in South Melbourne tonight on my way to getting smokes from the Seven-Eleven. This is the South Melbourne Town Hall. I should have pulled out my tripod for the shot, buy it worked out well in the end. More tomorrow.
Germany v Italy tonight... don't really know who I want to win more.

Last 3 games and early mornings before the end of the Euros, so I'll make this quick.
Here's Fifi doing her best flight attendant pose. Will probably use this in a magazine I'm doing, but here's a bit of photoshop fun with a dash of HDR and bokeh. More tomorrow.
Strobist Info: 2x Elinchrom DLite 4's with soft boxes on either side of the camera about 6 feet high and 4 feet away from Fifi. they were both set to the lowest power (2).

Anyway here's a cool shot of some really neat nail polish on Fifi. More tomorrow.

The ride home usually involves stopping at the railway crossing waiting for the 5.40pm to Sandringham to pass. Here it is in tilt-shift and HDR. We really should meet less often, it does mean a good 6 minute wait for both sides to cross. More tomorrow.

Spent a lovely winter's day with good friends today. I did have my camera, but was a bit more interested in the food and conversation than chasing a shot, as a result, here's one more from yesterday. A slightly different angle this time, through the windscreen. I kind of knew that we'd get some kind of reflection off the flash on the windscreen, but this didn't turn out too bad.
Strobist info: 2 speed lights - one in the car at 1/4 power on the floor of the passenger's side shooting straight into the roof of the car. The other bouncing off a gold reflector just out of shot in front and to the left of Stephanie. White Balance set to Tungsten.
