Took this today while using my new hotshot adaptor for non-sony/ minolta flashes. And since it had a cable input, I hooked it up to the studio lights. More tomorrow.

Got this lens as a present from a friend visiting. It's an old Minolta 70-150mm f3.8. Tried it out and it's pretty spectacular, I'll post some shots from it soon. Anyway here's a black and white of it. More tomorrow.

It rained almost all day today, and the roads were wet. Tried to get some reflection shots, but because of the rain, it meant that I would have gotten, and more importantly, my camera as well would have gotten quite wet. So here's one from the comfort and dryness of my car. More tomorrow.

Out for dinner tonight at the Teppanyaki Inn, apparently Melbourne's oldest Teppanyaki establishment. I got to say it was just top notch. What you see is the Chef just cutting my Wagyu steak, done to perfection. Probably one of the best steak I've ever had. More tomorrow.

Took this at the dying moments of the day. Took a while to set up only because the damned flashes were playing up, hence the flared cross on the front of the bottle/jug/tin. Anyway it's late... more tomorrow.
Stobist info: 3 flashes - One camera right 5 feet away with a Lumiquest SB III, Another with a Lumodi Beauty Dish feathered about 2 feet above. The final flash is camera right with a diffuser sock camera left. The damned flared cross is from the pop-up flash that is not meant to show up, only fire the rest of the flashes... hence the problems with the shot.

Had to do a group shot for the department today, so here's what came up right before the selected shot. This was the last of the 5 test shots, as you can see, some of the casts were getting a bit restless, while others sought rest. Still the final shot turned out quite well and the test shots were pretty cool too. BTW, total time from first test shot to final shot was slightly over 3 minutes. More tomorrow.
